POULENC – L’histoire de Babar, le petit éléphant
Synopsis
Jean de Brunhoff’s popular children’s story of one little elephant’s epic rise from rags to riches is eloquently set to music by Francis Poulenc, and expressively re-imagined with all the enthusiasm and pomp worthy of a royal gathering. Fusing the styles of Mary Poppins and Julia Child, Britain’s own Symphonia Semi d’Quaver, the internationally renowned “Orchestra-ologist” and devoted fan of composer Henry Purcell, narrates the classic Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra with wit and a wink.
